image  Yes, this is in fact a recommendation from Netflix of what movies “I’ll Love” based on my ratings and watching preferences.  Somehow having a proclivity for British accented talking cartoon dogs marks me as a Lynryd Skynyrd fan.  I am almost intrigued enough to want to add it to my queue and review the similarities between a mutt and his best friend Tiger and a concert from the Vicious Cycle Tour.

Posted by murderous.intention on March 26, 2009

Thank you so much for registering to be a part of our Sneak Peek Site Testing! We apologize for the delay in contacting you, but wanted to let you know that we’d love for you to participate in this program. We will be sending out the site access codes the week of April 6th. Since many school districts are off for spring break, we thought this would be a great time for the kids to try out the site. Your codes will be active throughout the month of April and your child(ren) is welcome to play on the site as much as he/she wants during the testing period. In addition to the site access code, we will also be sending you a link to an online survey regarding your thoughts on the virtual world. It would be great if you could fill out the survey with your child, to best convey his/her feelings on the site.

We’re also looking for the opinions of other moms/kids so if you know any other families that would be interested in getting a sneak peak of the site, please feel free to direct them to our registration page:

And if you happen to have any communication vehicles (blogs, eNewsletters, online forums, etc) that you can distribute to, let me know and I’ll send some copy to share.

Thank you so much. We can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the site. If you have any questions about the program, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

We are registered for this which if I remember is some sort of interactive animal world with educational components.

image Other than cool outfits and jets? I dunno, you lose a few hours of your life daily maybe.  Keep in  mind that you should add posse members slowly if you can two at a time after buying Properties that are special, and special items such as Snowboards, Snowboots and Coats.

Keep an eye out for Limited Edition Essentials such as Labradoodle Dogs, Cupid’s Temptation Lingerie, and Zbook Air Laptop, save favor points to purchase these.

Keep in mind that there are time limits on speciality properties such as the Beauty Bar and Naked Yoga Studio, every time you buy one, the required posse members rises (which is why you should purchase then add new posse members)

You also get favor points every other level. And when you level go right to stats, I recommend placing more points in the ENERGY section so you can do more jobs with guaranteed popularity points.

Posted by murderous.intention on

I received the new Yanni Voices CD/DVD in the mail to review today.  I have listened to it several times so far, and although it is not my usual genre of personal listening music I can see myself popping this CD in daily.  This is a great one for families.  With my two young boys I like to be careful of what we listen to, this CD is not a problem, there are obviously no strong lyrics, but there is a wonderful relationship between instrument and voice portrayed on this CD.  The two blend together and dance throughout the tracks like partners in a well choreographed dance.

Track 1 Omaggio with Nathan Pacheco and Chloe is  luxuriant and sumptuous, it swept me away as though I was bicycling through a warm Italian Villa. Track 2 The Keeper with Leslie Mills & Track 4  Never Leave the Sun reminded me very much of Vanessa Carlton - or pop music for mature listeners.  Track 3 Our Days & Track 6 1001 both had wonderful Middle Eastern flair which brought me to a place of warm hues, belly dancers and spice. Other tracks on the CD include the velvety vocals of Nathan Pacheco and Ender Thomas, whose voices are both bold and sensuous, a cross a times between Pavarotti and Enrique Iglesias.

If you are a fan of Eastern influences, operatic overtures, and the songs of Sarah Brightman, you will find the blends on this CD delightful. Some surprises were Track 13 Mi Todo Eres Tu, a duet with Chloe and Ender Thomas that reminded me of a Disney leading lady love song, Track 10 Orchid which was raw, exotic and nature influenced with a little Asian undertones and Track 9 Vivi Il Tuo Sogno which was a fantastic delicacy of piano mingling with a voice that traversed the feminine and masculine.

I won’t give away all of the songs on this CD, but at $9.99 on most sites, it is definitely worth picking up.  If you are a parent looking for stimulating music for a baby or toddler, this CD is full of easy listening tunes that you can move, dance and sing with.  There is variety with repetition. The songs are not all over the place, but they also are distinctly different, with four up and coming vocal artists to listen to.

I have not yet had the chance to pop the bonus DVD making of Yanni Voices in my player, or visit Yanni.com to join the Fan Club - but I will.  Membership gets you :

  • Presale ticket opportunities
  • access to VIP concert packages
  • access to exclusive videos, pictures
  • private message boards

You can also text JOINYANNI to 30303 to receive updates, free downloads and more.

For the first time in five years, Yanni is returning to the stage in April to launch an incredible world tour featuring 50+stops throughout the US including Orlando, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and more!

title pic Is Microsoft the Devil in the Clouds?

Posted by murderous.intention on March 23, 2009

I’m sure by now, you’ve all seen this Diagram drawn by Steve Balmer of Microsoft.   It clearly outlines and depicts not only a badly drawn car accident, but their very own strategic plan to kill us in the future!

A diagram, by Steve Ballmer, Microsoft’s chief executive, of its cloud computing strategy - Saul Hansell/The New York Times

First of all, look at this drawing: It is obviously a car crashing very fast into a school bus, take a look how it slides underneath it, It’s hard to even imagine the number of people who died in the making of this drawing but it’s rather self-evident of what the plans for the future hold, it’s hidden in the writing.

Now look very closely, no, even closer than that.  Do you see it yet? Okay fine, I’ll show you!

Drawing in red

There, do you see it now?! What? It’s too small? Fine, I’ll zoom it in for you!

Steve Balmer Live Mech

Now can you see it? It’s so obvious what is going on here.  Steve Balmer and Microsoft plan to release a series of LIVING MECH’s out into the world to attack us. And It’s obvious it’s out to attack us, with his very clear and blatant VS, which while the line does go off screen look green to green, it’s VS the Living!  Look at that Sinister smile ! :>

Cloud vs the Living

I think It’s even further who is running the strings of this puppet show “Cloud” indeed, if you read between the lines I think you’ll see it the same as anyone who has ever worked in the Cloud can realize, that this is God’s domain, and who is on the board of this Cloud Strategy? None other than the DEVIL himself! Steve has horrible penmanship so the I and the L cross, for the new super devil, DEVX TOIS, that’s Latin for Devil in the Clouds.

DEVX TOIS the Super Devil of the Cloud

So I caution you to be afraid, be very afraid.   The day when the Live Mechs come decending out of our computers and DEVX TOIS comes out to attack the living, don’t say you haven’t been warned.   Because your words will be meaningless then and you can talk until you’re Azure in the face but it won’t stop the harkening of the Devil in the Clouds.  E Pluribus DEVX

title pic UPromise Discussion earn a $25 Gift Card

Posted by murderous.intention on March 16, 2009

I’d love if you to join me and my friends from Upromise for the launch of the Upromise Tuition Tales Campaign on Tuesday, March 24th, which has been declared “Tuition Tuesday.”
Nothing keeps me up at night more than thinking about how I will pay for four college educations. I personally became a member of Upromise when my kids were younger and since have earned money toward their education through grocery shopping and even my car purchase.
I hope you’ll join us for a morning of blogging, vlogging, tweeting and socializing with other moms while we learn about Upromise Tuition Tales. It should be fun, informative and exciting as we learn about planning for the future. Now that my children are teenagers, I wish I had started earlier and this is why I feel so passionate about sharing this information to as many moms as possible.
In case you are not familiar with Upromise, it is the largest private source of college funding contributions in America, with more than 9.5 million members and $450 million in member rewards. Moms or members earn Upromise reward benefits and accumulate dollars towards their children’s college funds. I love it because I earn college funds for the purchases I normally make or at restaurants I frequently visit. It’s a little extra something that adds up over the years.
Although I believe the information you will receive will pay for itself in value, I still respect your time and effort to join me. In this spirit, each mom who attends will receive a $25 gift card at your choice of Target, Old Navy or Barnes & Noble. I know there are more Moms and Bloggers in the NYC area than we have in MomSelect, so please feel free to extend this invite to another influential Mom or Blogger to attend and she will also receive a $25 gift card.
